Kennedy tries to change law so wife can succeed him

I’m sorry but I can’t pass this up. I feel sorry for the man, he is very ill and probably is not long for this world. But what kind of idiots does he take us for? At Chappaquiddick his money and family power got him off scott free when he should have faced charges for drunk driving, manslaughter and leaving the scene of an accident. But no. Five years ago when his liberal buddy John Kerry was running for President, he lobbied strongly for the state of Massachusetts to change the law so Republican Governor Mitt Romney could not appoint a replacement if Kerry won. He did not want the good people of Massachusetts to be denied an opportunity to VOTE for a successor to an open Senatorial seat. So they changed the law.

But wait. Mr. Kennedy now wants a do-over. He wants to deprive the good people of Massachusetts the privilege of voting for his successor and wants the now liberal Governor to be allowed to appoint his wife as his replacement. WHAT? There are no Mulligans in politics! This is a prime example of the current attitude of many of our elected elite and a classic case of the kind of despotism the left want to impose on this country. I’m sorry Senator, when you pass on, as we all do eventually, there will NOT be a ceremony wherein the King bestows your position, land, property and rights of nobility upon your chosen successor. We have a couple of governing documents in this country that prohibit that practice. Perhaps you’ve heard of them? Hopefully the good people of Massachusetts will see through your charade. You fooled them once- shame on you. I doubt you’ll fool them again.

Sorry, don’t mean to dance on the man’s grave, but he was a political hack. Why is everyone re-writting this man’s career. He was one of the most partisan senator’s that was ever elected. Example, Bush’s no child left behind. Bush allowed Teddy to essentially write the bill, but did Teddy ever give Bush any credit. Hell, I believe that he actually complained about the legislation. Now the dems are revitalized with his name on top of the socialized medicine mess. Talk about not going quietly into the long goodnight.
